TEMPORARY RESIDENCY PERMIT (TRP) SERVICES
A Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) is a document issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada that permits individuals who are generally inadmissible to Canada to enter the country for a visit.
To qualify for a temporary resident permit, your need to enter or stay in Canada must be deemed more significant than the health or safety risks to Canadian society, as assessed by an immigration or border services officer. Even if your reason for inadmissibility appears minor, you must show that your visit is warranted.
Also, if someone plans to stay for more than one year, they must apply for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP). You are not considered a TRP holder unless you have a document specifically labeled as a temporary resident permit. TRPs are granted only when warranted by the circumstances and at the discretion of the processing officer. Additionally, a TRP can be canceled at any time.
Temporary residents in Canada can travel outside the country, but they must comply with the re-entry requirements set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to return.
